Stop Animation with IPads in Year 6

Year 6 have started their Computing topic on Animation by trying some stop animation.  We have used Lego Movie Maker on our new IPads and created some short films.  Using a whiteboard and a pen, we have begun creating our own animations.

Y6 have been composing fanfares in their music lessons. They were inspired by Aaron Copland's Fanfare for the Common Man, written in 1942 as a tribute to the Allied Forces.  Here are a selection:

WWII Trip to Bushey Hall

Year 6 had great fun visiting Bushey Hall and learnt about life in the 1940s.

Y6 in the Science labs at Beaumont School

Year 6 had a great time at Beaumont School this morning, taking part in a flame-testing science workshop! We then had a lovely lunchtime spent in Longacres Park.
